WCS are experts in assessing and advising on wastewater generated from industrial processes (Trade Effluent Consented discharge) and the cost structures associated with this.
Our aim is to optimise customer costs in this area whilst at the same time ensuring continued compliance with current discharge regulations and legislation.
TRADE EFFLUENT CONSENTED DISCHARGE
When a leak occurs, it can be both expensive and damaging if not attended to quickly.
Visible above ground leakage can often be repaired quickly, however, the majority of leaks occur below the surface on concealed, difficult to access pipework and require leak detection to locate.
At WCS Ltd our initial step is to determine if a site has a leak in the first instance through our bill analysis and survey procedure.
If leakage is identified, we recommend and utilise the most cost effective solutions and techniques available to ensure it is repaired as quickly as possible whilst at the same time focusing on minimising disruption to the site during the repair process.
DRAINAGE
At WCS Ltd, we are experts in both understanding the complexities of each Water Company's drainage charging structure and in challenging the Water Retailers when drainage charges are incorrect.
Allied with our experience and in-depth knowledge of each Water Company's and Water Retailer's policies and procedures, this allows us to maximise the recovery of historic overcharges in addition to reducing future year on year costs.
Wherever you are located in the UK, a component of your charges will be based on the removal of rainwater falling on your site.
The extent of these charges vary markedly between Water Companies, however, if your site falls within the United Utilities, Northumbrian Water, Severn Trent Water, South Staffs Water or Scottish Water area then it is likely that your drainage charges represent a significant percentage of the total bill.

LEAK DETECTION
Every customer we work with receives a detailed assessment of how a site uses water and the efficiency of the usage taking place.
In a market that sees continuous upward cost pressures to maintain quality of water supply and meet with higher water demands, especiallyin more water stressed areas of the UK, this is a key part of our service to ensure water is used as efficiently as possible.
WATER CONSERVATION
The starting point for all our work
Our detailed bill analysis procedure provides an essential first step in understanding our customers' water and wastewater charges.
This results in the best value for money water charges being attained for our customers whilst at the same time minimising impact on the environment and reducing carbon footprint.
The next essential step in our process
The site survey allows us to build on our initial bill analysis findings.
Hands on investigations coupled with highly detailed assessment allow us to accurately determine if possible cost savings identified at the bill analysis stage exist in reality.
All fittings carrying or receiving water from the public mains water supply in the UK have to comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws.
The regulations and byelaws require that fittings should not use water excessively, misuse water, be of an appropriate standard and must not contaminate the water supply.
WCS Ltd work with our customers to advise on compliance with the Water Fittings Regulations in addition to advising on environmental compliance. In doing so, our customers adhere to current regulations and improved environmental performance, whilst at the same time increasing efficiency and reducing water and wastewater costs.

....REDUCING WATER AND WASTEWATER COSTS FOR UK BUSINESSES
In addition to the correction of future charges when an overcharge has been identified and successfully challenged, an equally important part of our work is ensuring that our customers also have the reductions applied retrospectively.
WCS Ltd's vast Water Consultancy experience gives our customers the reassurance that whatever the overcharge relates to, we have the ability to maximise any refund owing by the Water Company regardless of the complexity of the challenge.
